All About Love

Many appropriate words could define love but even children know about love in a simple way. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. Expressions of love may include the love for a “soul” or mind, the love of laws and organizations, love for a body, love for nature, love of food, love of money, love for learning, love of power, love of fame, love for the respect of others, etcetera. Different people place varying degrees of importance on the kinds of love they receive. According to philosophers, the only goal of life is to be happy. And there is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved. Love is essentially an abstract concept, much easier to experience than to explain. Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it…It’s really worth fighting for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more..tsktsk..
HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOU FALL IN LOVE
When their sight makes your heart skip a beat?
- It isn’t love, it’s infatuation
You’ve experience that your palms sweaty, your heart racing, And your voice caught within your chest?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Like.
Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of?
- It isn’t Love, It’s a Lie
You can’t keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I right?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Lust
Do you want them because you know they’re there?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Loneliness
Do you stay for their confessions of Love, because you don’t want to hurt them?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Pity
Do you forgive them because you care about them?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Friendship.
Are you willing to give all of your favorite things for their sake?
- It isn’t Love, It’s Charity
Does your heart ache and break when they’re sad?
- Then its Love
Are you attracted to others, but stay with them faithfully without regret?
- Then its Love
Do you accept their faults because they’re a part of who they are?
- Then its Love
Do you cry for their pain, even when they’re strong?
- Then its Love
Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts?
- Then its Love
But do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and elation pulls you close and holds you?
- Then its Love
Would you give them your heart, your life, your death?
- Then its Love
If Love is painful, tortures us so,Then why do we Love?
Why is it all we search for in life?This pain and this agony?
Why is it all we long for?This torture, this powerful death of self?
Why? Because it’s… Love
